Friends and Supporters of Liberian Basketball, Inc, (formally Friends and Supporters of LBF-USA);

I am happy to inform you all that the last conference call meeting was well attended. On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to say to all "BRAVO" and welcome aboard.
First of all we all kept ourselves focus on the one and only agenda that has already being circulated. The meeting centered around part one " The Immediate Plan" project. The items that we are targeting are listed below along with the total cost needed to purchase these items. We have agree to stick to a deadline for all donations to be in (30 days from the 9/23/06 meeting held at John T's residence) by 10/23/06. We also hope to ship within (45 days from 9/23/06) which will be on or by 11/07/06 respectively. Donations is $25.00 per person. All information for deposits transaction for the newly opened account will also be found at the bottom of the minutes. Please use the access that best suit you. The account has was opened with $100.00(savings--$50.00 and checking--$50.00).

Jo-Jo and Frederick Robertson have volunteer to give some balls to the organization and free shipping of all items through his container that is bound for Liberia. All we need to do is to meet our deadline.

Maryland was chosen to host the first fund raising tournament. This has been place in the hands of Ori Wright, Jo-Jo Robertson and all of those that are in that area. We volunteer our total support from our various states. Robertson also informed us of a Christmas tournament project he is expecting to undertake while in Liberia. Our friends and Supporters fund raising tournament is expected to have a 4 to 6 months of planning so that the turn out can be great.

It was agreed that a web site be set up for the organization. Toyuwa Harris and Wulwyn Porte are working towards that project. This site is expected to be a complete source for communication and information.

We discuss the issue of our article of incorporation that has to be in within 6 months for us to be cover under the banks non-profit status. this will be handle by David Chieh, Anthony Fannoh, Alston Wolo and Any other member that is affiliated with the process. Questions were raised on how accountable and transparent will the LBF towards us? What kind of structure will the leadership have after the organizing committee will have been dissolved? Who will head and steer this group in the direction it should go in terms of developing basketball in Liberia?

As more people join in, we believe that most of these things will be address and taken care of but let us first of come together and send these few items that are greatly needed for our young boys and girls. It will mean a lot if we Friends and Supporters of Liberian Basketball, Inc, (formally Friends and Supporters of LBF-USA) initiate the change before and outsider volunteer his/her help. This will go a long way in the history of OUR game. I am also using this opportunity to encourage all females ballers and supporters to come on board; just like it was back home. What ever we did, we did not roll alone. The girls had to be a part. I have spoken to Jarsea Burphy, Dawn R. Tolbert, Joyce Sackor and couple of other ladies out there. We need your support so get on the next conference call and give your views. We would love to hear from you all out there.
