The meeting was convened in the gym after the last game to discuss the future of FOLBF to elect a Steering committee to spear head the group for one year. T. Mom acted as the leader of the meeting and talked about who we are as a group and briefly discussed the Steering committee mandated listed on the Tri-fold given to all in attendance.  Abu Williams reiterated the mission statement on the Tri-fold as well. He also gave a summary about the planning that went into making the day a success and thanked all the participants. Isaac Gibson opened the election with a prayer.

The following persons were nominated for the Chairman position:

Anthony Fannoh – unanimous

Abu William – declined

David Brown – declined

Arnold Badio-declined

The following persons we nominated for the Co-Chair position

Dawn Tolbert – absent/unanimous

David Brown – declined

For the Secretary position, Lynnette Roberts was the only nominee since she had already volunteer to take the minutes.

For the position of Treasury, Alston Wolo was the only nominee - unanimous

The following persons were nominated as Chaplin:

Isaac Gibson – declined

Melvin Hall – unanimous

We had several heated discussions on the procedure for electing the members of the Board of Director. It was suggested that 1) the election of the BOD be selected by the Steering Committee; 2) A group separate from the Steering Committee choose the BOD; and 3) the election of the Board members proceed as the Steering Committee election.

It was finally decided that we elect the chairman and tabled the election of the other board members for a later date. Advertus (Orea) Wright was unanimously nominated elected.

Anthony Fannoh, our newly elected Chairman, thanked everyone who participated in the election, as well as the players. He especially thanked the planning committee, giving them ownership of the success of the event. He promised to provide engaging opportunities where the views of everyone would be considered and appreciated. He also promised to be forth coming with information regarding FOLBF and finally invited everyone to the after party at Haydees in Silver Spring, MD to continue the fundraising efforts. Melvin Hall, our newly elected Chaplin closed the meeting with a prayer.

The election officers of the Steering committee are:

Anthony Fannoh- Chairman

Dawn Tolbert- Co-Chairman
