PETITION AND MEETING MINUTES:

Brothers and Sisters/ballers/Friends and Supporters of Liberian Basketball, Inc, (formally Friends and Supporters of LBF-USA),
I am sending out this reminder for the conference call that is scheduled for Today at 8 PM Eastern Time. I hope that more people will join us so that we can be stronger in making a positive difference for our country. The agenda is expected to highlights the following issues below:

Agenda

  1. How much have we collected in the bank account and who all have paid.
  2. What other strategy can we put into play to achieve the $ 3,500.00 goal of our IMMEDIATE PLAN.
  3. Article of Incorporation to be circulated for feed back and possible adoption.
  4. Reports from D. Tolbert, V. Jones, and Jo-Jo Robertson if any on their trip to Monrovia.
  5. Report from O. Wright on the 2007 Project to be held in the D.C.-Maryland area.
  6. When will the web site be ready?
  7. Other business
  8. Next conference call date
  9. Closing

I would like to emphasize to everyone that the success of this Immediate Plan project will boost the image and credibility of our organization. We all have gone through the Christmas and New year by the grace of God. Let us now try and focus on developing the game back home to the best of our ability. Check this out from my calculations surrounding the $3,500.00.

1. It only take 140 persons @$25.00 to get 3,500.00
2. It only takes 70 persons @$50.00 to get 3,500.00
3. It only takes 47 persons @$ 75.00 to get 3,500.00
4. It only takes 35 persons @ 100.00 to get 3,500.00

How difficult is it for us to find this little amount. I hope that all of us will read the article that has been sent out there by Alston Wolo. We all have been part of a winning team sometime along the way from Liberia. Why can't we give back? If you do not trust that our plan will be successful, come on board to help us do the right thing so our kids can benefit. Look at the numbers up there and convince me that Liberian basketballers here are not more than 140 old timers.

One of our brothers just celebrated his 40th.I heard that it was jam packed with ballers from all around the country (Minnesota, Atlanta, Maryland, New York, N. Carolina, Seattle, Detroit, etc, etc). I know they did not walk to the SESSION, so how difficult is it for us to unite and give LBF a boost. Don't we think that LBF deserve a lot more than just that. Remember, LBF helped some of us in coming to the US and achieving what we are proud to call our own and boost about today. LBF was instrumental in making us the superstars that we became in our time, which lead to our successful family lives today.

I could go on and on but I will stop here because I believe that together we will make the difference so please come on board and come with all your might because we will not let us down.

I'll talk to you when I talk to you.............
Fannoh (Foots)

Our meeting started @ 9:00 pm. The agenda was accepted by all the members present. We were informed by A. Wolo that the total money received was$ 299.00. The names of all those paid was also read for the good of the body.

Concerning new strategy for raising the money for our Immediate Plan, others suggested that we focus on the fund raising project that will be organize and held in Maryland/D.C. Another suggestion was for us to raise the donating stakes from $25.00 to $100.00 or more. After multiple ideas and discussion, we agree that we will raise the amount to $100.00. As we are encouraging people to join our cause, we calculated that if we succeed in getting at least 35 persons, we will be collecting the total 3500.00.As per our agenda, Ori Wright and D. Tolbert were not in so we could not get updates regarding the fund raising event and a report from Monrovia respectively.

The draft Article of Incorporation was accepted by the body. We are planning on filing the article as soon as we get some legal advice from a practicing lawyer in USA. Fortunately for us, W. Porte volunteer to ask his wife look over our article. We also is asking all Bono-fide (all those that have send in their $25.000) members to forward all comments or acceptance of the article of to Fannoh@aol.com.

W. Porte agreed that he will produce a web site for FSLBF-USA. The web site will open a lot more doors for us.We are expected to be in full swing by the second week of February. He is asking all ballers and supporters to gather up their old YMCA and Sports Commission Photos because we will be putting them all over the web site. Get ready to be posterized by someone.

Mac Galimah agree to help get pull in more members from Minnesota. I would like to thank all those that made it into the conference. It is always good for us to come together and try to plan and do something for our LBF.Let us not get discourage b/c we are working to provide for the youth of Liberia, the little things they need to help make their dreams come true. I am appealing to everyone out there to come in and let us make our children, our little brothers/sisters dream come true while they are still in Liberia. Whatever idea, suggestions, financial support, moral support, please bring it to the table for us work together.

I will send out the call in number for the next meeting as soon I receive replies from everyone concerning the minutes. Those of you that are receiving the minutes and do not have copy of the project list, please send me a message so that I will e-mail you the listing and last agenda for you to have a better understanding.
